Welcome Header

Welcome to the Walton Le Dale Welsh Don League Website.

The Walton Le Dale Welsh Don League consists of 16 Member Clubs or Teams, and has 2 Divisions. Each Division contains 8 Teams, with each Team playing each other 3 times throughout the season, making 21 fixtures in total.

Each fixture consists of 5 games, with the winning team of each game receiving 1 point. The team with the most winning games in the fixture also receive an additional 2 bonus win points.

A new format for this season is the introduction of the Bill Bullen Trophy being played on a League basis. This game is to be played as an additional game in each fixture, and must be the final game of the night. So now there will be 6 games played on each fixture night, 5 League games and a Bill Bullen game.

Any two players from each team can represent their team in the Bill Bullen League, it does not have to be the same two players each fixture.

At the end of the season, the top two teams in each Division of the Bill Bullen League will contest the semi finals stage.

Use the buttons on the left to find fixtures, results and league tables for the Walton Le Dale Welsh Don League, and other items that may be of interest.

DIVISION 'B' PLAY-OFF

Division 'B' Champions

Congratulations to Old Oak on becoming the Division 'B' Champions, albeit after a play-off in which they defeated Trades Hall 3-2.

Both Teams will now find themselves promoted to the 'A' Division, after both being relegated last season!

Commiserations to Trades Hall, who in the last fixture of the season led Old Oak 3-1 only to lose the final game to enforce this play-off.
