| 2007 In Division One, New Longton 'A' were celebrating their Centenary. This may have spurred them on as they wrestled the title away from Hoghton 'A'. Hoghton 'A' had won the Championship for a record 7 previous seasons. John Hodson Jnr. made it a double for New Longton 'A' in winning the Divisional Merit Award. John won by having a greater aggregate (+178) over team-mate Duncan Crabtree (+116). Both bowlers finished the season on equal number of Home and Away wins.
