At the League Meeting held on Monday, 17th March, a proposal regarding the Veterans League was resubmitted by St. Gerard's. This was allowed by the Executive, as a certain amount of confusion had arisen when it was originally submitted to the A.G.M.

"VETERANS LEAGUE RULES"
Delete Rule 1 in it's entirety and insert the following paragraph:
"Any player who will attain the age of 60 years during the subsequent season shall be eligible to play for a team from the commencement of the said season".
There were two amendments to the proposition:-
- From St. Paul's.
Delete Rule 1 in it's entirety and insert the following paragraph:
"Players MUST be 60 years of age before 1st June to be eligible to play in the Veterans League"
(This allows players aged 59 to register and play in the League, as long as they attain the age of 60 before 1st June).
- From Longton V.M.
Delete Rule 1 in it's entirety and insert the following paragraph:
"Players MUST be 60 years of age or more to be eligible to compete in the Veterans League"
(This allows bowlers aged 59 to register with the League for the said season, but CANNOT play until they attain the age of 60).
After the vote, amendment 2 from Longton V.M. was passed.
